Variety · Coffea arabica

SL28

Kenyan selection from the 1930s, known for intense acidity.

Selected by Scott Agricultural Laboratories in Kenya in the 1930s from a drought-tolerant plant. It remains one of the most valued varieties in Kenyan coffee.

Often associated with bright, blackcurrant-like acidity and a juicy structure, though growing conditions and processing matter as much as genetics.
