Using Tasting Cup
Terms of use
Last updated Oct 19, 2026
Tasting Cup is operated by Bearden Technologies Inc, a corporation registered in British Columbia, Canada. These terms govern your use of the website.
Personal use and availability
Tasting Cup is intended for individuals to explore specialty coffee for entertainment and personal productivity. You are responsible for your account and for content you submit. Only upload content you have the right to provide.
For free users, we operate the website on a best-effort basis. To the extent permitted by law, we make no promises about its suitability for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or continued operation. Features may change or become unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Catalog observations
Catalog information may be incomplete or out of date. Prices, availability, hours, ratings, and recommendations are observations or guidance. Verify current details with the relevant business before relying on them. Source credits do not imply endorsement by a source or business.
Responsible access
Abuse of the website, its data, or its APIs is prohibited. Do not disrupt the service, evade access controls or rate limits, access another person’s private information, or submit unlawful or infringing material. We may restrict access to address abuse.
Use of automated systems, including crawlers, scrapers, bots, and AI agents, over the website or its APIs is not permitted, except through specific features that we expressly make available to those systems and under the conditions stated for those features. We currently do not offer a supported public API.
These service access rules do not restrict rights granted by an applicable open-data license over data you have obtained lawfully. Reuse of licensed data remains subject to that license.
Your content
You retain ownership of your uploads. You grant Tasting Cup a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, process, and use that content to operate and improve the site. This includes aggregated and anonymized uses such as ratings, coffee recommendations, and brewing setup or configuration recommendations.
This license is subject to our privacy policy and your deletion choices. Private uploads are not published verbatim. You may delete individual personal records or your entire account; we stop using deleted private originals. Previously anonymized aggregates that can no longer be linked to you may remain. The license does not override your privacy rights.
Public data and archives
Facts about points of interest, organizations, coffees, gear, and listings form a public catalog that we treat in the spirit of open data. Source licenses and other applicable rights still govern reuse. This is not a blanket license for third-party photographs, written descriptions, trademarks, or private account information.
We currently have no self-service bulk download. Machine-readable archives of public catalog data may be requested by email. Where an applicable source license requires access to a derivative database or permitted alternative, this request channel is available for that access. Private user records are excluded from public archives.
Contact and data requests
For general questions, support, and privacy requests, contact contact@tastingcup.com.
For public catalog corrections, public data archives, licensing concerns, and takedown requests, contact data@tastingcup.com.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Sources page describes selected catalog sources and licenses; individual detail pages carry their own source information.
We will date changes to these terms and communicate material changes to affected users. Changes do not withdraw rights already granted under a source’s open-data license.
